• alpha and omega feat. nishka It's Alright / Easy Dub / Dub Mix 2 / Dub Mix 3 (12", £15.95)

    label: Jah Fingers

British male/female music duo Alpha & Omega were one of the earliest acts to emerge in the UK Steppers scene that sprang up in England during the late 1980s, following the waning of roots reggae and dub in its native Jamaica. Bassist Christine Woodbridge and keyboardist John Sprosen originally operated from a base in the western seaside town of Plymouth, but later began moving between there and a small council flat in Bermondsey, southeast London, giving their music a counterbalance of urban and countryside, as well as the gender duality. 'It's Alright', featuring vocalist Nishka, dates from 1994, appearing with 'Easy Dub' on the 'Safe In The Ark' LP. Dub mixes 2 and 3 are previously unreleased.
