• an american troubadour: the songs of steve forbert  (CD, £14.50)

Steve Forbert is a true American Troubadour. For over 35 years Steve has crisscrossed the nation as a travelling musician making a living singing and performing on the road. Soon lightning struck and the boy from Meridian, Mississippi was in the big time. With a hit debut record, Alive On Arrival, Steve was on the road and playing in front of thousands. The opening track titled “Romeo’s Tune” from his follow-up record, Jack Rabbit Slim, became Steve’s greatest hit and the song propelled the album to gold status. As life unfolded and the times changed, Steve continued to stay true to his inner voice. At times it was difficult to process all that life threw at him. Sometimes down, but never out, Steve pressed on. Through his words and music he continued to poetically document his life’s journey. Tracks: Thinkin’ Kelly Fitzgerald / I Blinked Once (feat.
